Membership & Performance Cards

Upon joining the HRCAV for the first time each member receives a membership card and a series of performance cards for the many various HRCAV disciplines – Dressage, Showing, Showjumping, Combined Training, Navigation Rides and Horse Trials. Additional and replacement Performance Cards can be purchased from the HRCAV for $ 7.50 each if you need one for another horse or if you lose a card.

Your Membership Card is your proof of Club and HRCAV membership and must be stamped and signed in the box for the current financial year upon payment of your Club and HRCAV fees.

IT IS THE RIDER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY GET THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD SIGNED AND STAMPED WITH THE CLUB STAMP BY THE SECRETARY OR TREASURER  WHEN THEY PAY THEIR FEES.

Failure to have your membership card stamped and signed for the current year will result in you having to compete Hors Concourse at any competitions which you enter or may prevent you from riding in official HRCAV competitions as you have no proof of membership.

Performance Cards are for the Level Assessor to record your level for that discipline in and for the officials at any competitions that you enter, to record your placings and points in.

If any mistakes are made in filling out your performance card, cross out the error.  DO NOT USE LIQUID PAPER OR WHITE OUT ANYWHERE ON YOUR PERFORMANCE CARDS AS THIS INVALIDATES THEM AUTOMATICALLY.

You must have your cards with you when getting assessed. You can either arrange for a Level Assessor to assess you privately or you can ask the President or Secretary to arrange for the Level Assessor to attend a Club Rally Day. It is cheaper to be assessed with a group of other riders as the Level Assessor’s travel fee will be split amongst you. We are lucky enough to have our very own level assessor at SARC. Janelle Miller is one of our members and also a level assessor.

Don’t fill all of your Performance Cards in immediately as you may prefer not to use them all for a particular horse. For example, if you never intend to do show jumping on your current horse you would not fill that horse’s name in on the Showjumping Card, but might elect to leave that card blank until you got a horse on which you intended to be assessed for showjumping.

YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD AND PERFORMANCE CARDS FOR THE DISCIPLINE THAT YOU ARE COMPETING IN MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU TO COMPETITIONS AND SHOULD BE PRESENTED TO THE CARD SECRETARY. YOU WILL BE GIVEN BACK YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD, BUT YOUR PERFORMANCE CARD WILL BE HELD UNTIL AFTER COMPLETION OF THE COMPETITION.
