Smythesdale Adult Riders Club Inc. was formed by a like-minded group of horse enthusiasts in 1998 with the aim of providing an environment in which they could participate in their chosen equestrian sport in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
This remains a prime focus of the Club to this day. SARC prides itself on being supportive of its members in their equestrian pursuits at rallies and at competitions.
SARC holds its monthly rally at the Woady Yaloak Equestrian Centre on the second Sunday of every month. Dressage, Show Jumping, Grid and Cross Country lessons are offered with experienced instructors. Lessons are conducted on the all-weather sand arena. Cross country lessons are subject to the course being open.
The location of the grounds also provides the option of trail rides along quiet back roads, the rail trail and through local bush land adjoining the Centre.
Club meetings take place on the Wednesday, the week before the rally (i.e 10 days prior to rally) at 7.00pm at a venue to be notified. In summer, these are usually held in the club rooms at the Woady Yaloak Equestrian Centre. All members are encouraged to attend and participate in the functioning of their Club.
